How to Work In Your Website

First things first. If you are on a phone or a tablet, STOP! Working on a website is done best on a computer.

Dashboard

This is where you are now. It is basically the homebase for your website backend.

Posts

Posts are informational articles or “blog” posts. If you have news to share or want to increase your credibility you can add new posts.

Media

This section is where you can see your images and videos. You can also upload new media content to this older.

Pages

Pages are for the main pages on your website. Home, About, etc. We will add Service pages as soon as we get some original content.

Comments

If you write an article and choose to allow comments they will show up here for moderation before posting.

Templates

Templates are where you can build page, post, sections, and pop up templates to be used across your site.

Appearance

Here you can see the Theme that is running your site or choose to build header and footer tamplates.

Profile

This is where you can customize the look of the backend of the website and update your personal information.

Your site includes Agency Software that we subscribe to. Those elements power your customized theme and the Elementor Pro Page Builder. They are included at no extra cost to you and are available as long as you are our customer. Should you choose to part ways with C.H. Local Media, we can point you in the right direction to purchase your very own copies of the software to maintain your site.

Elementor Pro is a powerful page builder and when used correctly can help you build nice looking pages and templates. Before trying to edit a live page, we suggest choosing the “Add New” sub-option under “Pages” in the menu on the left. Title the page, “My Test Page” and play around with that page for a while to get some understanding of how the page builder works. Check out the 2 minute Elementor Video Introduction.
